The All-New Casio G-Shock GRAVITYMASTER Solar GPS GPW1000
Casio has literally outdone itself with its newest G-Shock, which by the way has already been sold out. The name of this iteration is the G-Shock GRAVITYMASTER. You can find it on your favorite browser by using reference number GPW1000. This watch is being touted as the world's first GPS Solar hybrid.
Solar powered watches or GPS watches aren't new to Casio, but the brand
has placed these attributes together in one watch to make what they
think is one of the best active wear watches on the market. And in my humble opinion – I have to agree.
The case is made of fine resin in the traditional G-Shock case style. This is not a small watch by any stretch of the imagination. The case measures in at 56mm, and rises off the wrist almost 19mm. Casio uses a carbon fiber strap on this model, which looks amazing. Securing it is a double pronged ardillon buckle. The water resistance on this model is 200 meters (20 Bars). This is achieved in part by its Smart Access Electronic Lock with Quick Lock capabilities.
Like all G-Shock watches the GRAVITYMASTER employs the Triple 10
guarantee, with each characteristic being doubled, and sometimes even
tripled like the Triple G resistance on this series.
The dial is very legible and it carries Neo-Brite luminous hands and
hour markers represented in both applied indexes and Arabic numerals. There is also an LED Super Illuminator Backlight. At the 3 position, there is an aperture revealing the day of the week, and the functions of the watch. At 4:30, there is a date display window. The chronograph subdials are located at the 8 and 10 positions.
The calendar is pre-programmed until the year 2099. As a world timer,
this model offers 40 the time in 40 cities around the world. The GPS part comes into play in 5 countries USA, UK, China, Japan, and Germany. Accurate time is beamed from GPS satellites in those locations. Apart from the chronograph, this watch also has a countdown timer, and a beeper alarm. There is also a power saving option, and a low power alert. When fully charged, this Casio G-Shock GRAVITYMASTER can run without further charge for 7 months.
